- Quoting: If another primary indexing source has accessed
a verbatim quote from, say, a mailing list archive, and
the original source, or a cached copy is readily available,
we may make 'fair use' of it for this site.
- Grammar: We will make obvious corrections of grammatical or
typographical errors without notice; major items,
or uncorrected faux pas might be noted with a
[sic]. Assuming we don't miss it as
well.
- Correction: We will correct clear errors called to our
attention; we may elide or munge email
addresses occasionally but not as a general policy.
- Rebuttal: A thoughtful rebuttal piece to anything on this
site is welcomed, and if submitted, is received with an
implicit right of publication, subject to editorial markup
-- an off-site link to a relevant 'full-text' copy of an
editted rebuttal will be offered in such cases.
- Dead Links: No content is forever; if a site disappears
or materially changes and we notice, we are likely to
revise this site.
- Mirrored Sites: We maintain archival mirrors of several sites
of major RPM interest; some have disappeared over time, and
by doing so, we hope to preserve some knowledge.
- Presentation Order: We will strive to present linkfarm lists
in a non-preferential order; Non-commercial, Commercial, and
Other sub-sections may be used to meta-organize lists.
